Rocker
Musical Superstars
The leaders, the rockers, the original Punks. They were the
first of the nihillistic rebels from the ancient days of the 1980's,
and are still leading the violent social rebellion today. Nevertheless,
modern Rockers have come a long way from their reckless founding fathers.
While names like The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Violent Femmes,
and The Clash still call forth images of wild social rebellion and
anarchy, the current Rockers are much more then just rebels without a cause.
Often organizing spontaneous steet concerts for the specific purposes of
spreading a message or sacking a corporate tower, the Edgerunner Rocker
can be a vital force of change in the world. Often helpless while off the stage, the Rocker can become a virtual diety when performing for a massive crowd--easily able to sway them to whatever whim he or she desires. It's amazing what you can accomplish with 10,000 fanatic groupies on a concert high...

BASIC CAREER SKILLS

"How did I become famous? Well, tuning the guitar certainly helped... Seriously, you should have heard our first two albums! But what I really did was follow the classic three A's of Rock n' Roll: Audience, Axe, and Attitude. My axe is my baby, my love, my life. She's a gold-plated Fender--American made and proud of it. I also managed to avoid Corporate contracts, despite the easy cash for selling out. I sang the songs that the people wanted to hear, no matter how hard the corps and the governments tried to stop me. If they want to shut me up, they have to get through my fans first. Still, the only difference between myself and the regular guy is that the regular guy might not have the courage to speak out. So I speak out for him. Even so, I'm no one special. I'm just a punk-rock prom queen with a microphone."
"The shows proved to be as extraordinary as the buildup predicted. Bob Marley and The Wailers tore the Lyceum apart. The road crew's painstaking efforts for perfect sound were enhanced a thousand fold by the electrifying performance produced by Bob and his group. Quite simply, they were fantastic. Bob held the audience as though they were part of his collective soul. He could have told them to go out into the street and to burn and to loot and they would have obeyed him."
