Model

The Power of Seduction

Ever since there have been goods to sell, there have been those to sell them and models to demonstrate them. Always more of an afterthought, the demonstration model finally came into their own during the sexually-charged 1970's with the creation of the first supermodels. These amazingly attractive men and women showed off new fashions, pawned material goods, and set trends worldwide. Once the stage was set for the new mindset of "sex sells", the use of high-profile models in advertising snowballed into every facet of the capitalist economy. The models were superstars of their corporate master's creation, falling under increasingly harder stress to achieve physical perfection. Nearly becoming a major health crisis in the late 20th Century, the modern use of bodysculpting and genetic manipulation has since resulted in physically fit individuals that magically conformed to the subconscious image of human physical perfection. Rivaled only by the Net-based virtual Idoru, the models of the 2030's are walking, talking proof that sex sells.

Pose: The ability to manipulate or control others through physical appearance. Similar to a Rocker's Charismatic Leadership ability, but not quite as powerful. 1/2 of the Model's Pose skill can control a number of people equal to that number squared times 200. The other half can be added to all Empathy skill roles (GM's call on a situation to situation basis). Pose is based on an average of the character's INT and ATTR stats.

"You want this? Of course you do. You'll do anything for me. Why? Because that little reptillian part of your brain can't resist me, it's screaming for the satisfaction that only I can provide. But you poor fool, you know you'll never get me. Instead you will do anything you can to have a part of me--buy what I say, wear what I wear, and think what I tell you to. Be it investing in a company, buying a new type of armorjacket, or even trying a different grade of petrol in your agri-car. You'll do it. But hey, I'm not all bad. Last year I was in a televised fashion show that helped raise thousands of Euro for nanotech-based cancer research. We all do our part... between parties of course."
