Corporate

The Stock-Holding Elite

In an era when the ailing Govenments are little more than lumbering dinosaurs, the megalithic Corporations hold the reins of true power in the modern world. With fortress-like buildings and employees treated as citizens, the world-spanning MegaCorps are more powerful then some legetimate nations.

Out of this comes the Corporate character, trying to change the way the company works from the inside. Unlike their destructive bretherin the Edgerunners, the Corps fight their battles in the elite board rooms and over the conference tables around the world. Determined to make some good come out of all the suffering, many of them are lured into the Corporate fold by steady meals and a decadent lifestyle. Riding the Edge just as much as any Street Punk, the Corp characterss are hitting the Corporations where it hurts--the pocketbook.

Resources: Is the ability of the corporate characte to requisition corporate resources for their own personal use. Be it anything from the corner office to hunter-killer solo teams, there is almost no limit to corporate power with a high enough Resources skill. This skill is based on the character's INT stat.

"Why did I join the Corporation? It wasn't for the 'Property of MegaCorp' tatoo if that is what you are thinking. It was for the power. The power to get things done, to make the big decisions, to affect things. I make one phone call and I shut down military production in three Euronations. How? We build the weapon tracking chips for half the AVs in the world. I have Presidents sending me bribes from countries I have never even heard of. Sometimes I accept, in the name of good relations after all... I'm not evil, and I'm not trying to take over the world. I'm trying to change the Company from the inside. Just last month I forced a bushleague 3rd World nation into setting aside 10,000 acres of rainforest as an international reserve simply by redirecting a shipment of excess hydro-purifiers to their major population center. Hell, they were last year's models anyway.

So, you tell me, who's the evil corporate bastard now?"
