	I am aware of many of my mistakes. I watch myself to see if I am becoming more arrogant for not having given in to something so obvious. I watch to see if I have blinded myself with my own righteousness. So I seek out those who are stronger, faster, smarter, better than I am. I ply my skill against theirs. Sometimes I win. Usually I don’t. It’s in the defeat that I learn to recognize that I am not perfect and the reason’s I loose are similar to the reasons that other beings fail as well. It’s with that commonality that I can remember that while we are not the same, we share similar experiences in life. I use my journal to document my thoughts and watch for patterns. Blind spots in my logic and reasoning. A way to check on myself from time to time. It’s not perfect but in the past it has helped me to keep myself in check and watch to see if I have started on the path to the dark side. Like my students. Both Kit and Sera acted on what they felt was right, but they acted impulsively. Each of them set foot on the path to the Dark Side. Kit seems to have recognized what has happened and she wishes to set things right. I admire her spirit. It will not be easy but I believe that she has the strength to find her way back. I will offer her what guidance that I can and if she can find her way back then I will welcome her back as an apprentice.
