Cyrian checked to see if I was there for vengeance. Once he had confirmed his suspicions he waited for his chances. He found a weapon while we cremated the student's bodies. He waited for some sign that I'd found the Holocron. Once his suspicions were confirmed all that was left was to kill me, kill my crew and take the Holocron to Yanna. I believe it was his hope that Yanna would finally do what no one else would, recognize Cyrian for his skills and the grandeur of the Twi'lek plan.

It didn't unfold that way for Cyrian. We fought. He fought well, pressed his advantages. Yanna even included a little bonus for him and handicapped me. To buy time for both of them. I slew Cyrian shortly after that moment. Yanna promptly changed her tactics, more on that later.

What was it like to live as Cyrian did? To live only for vengeance. To never let anyone ever know who you are. To never be acknowledged for your sacrifice or your accomplishments. To believe that you are better that everyone around you but to have these niggling failures eating at you from all sides. To be a man dying of thirst while swimming in a river of water. What you need all around you and never able to see it. In the end I believe I pity Cyrian and his life. What a waste for everyone. The Twi'leks, the academy, everyone.

I doubt that Master Li was unaware of Cyrian's purpose in life. The reason he was at the academy. Always in motion, the future is difficult to see. Master Li said that to me many times. What did he see in the future that was worth the betrayal that Cyrian would bring? The destruction of the academy?
