	Yanna. I'm not clear what Yanna considers to be her responsibilities. I suspect that Yanna is no longer clear on her responsibilities either. On one hand she's hard at work doing her master's work. She finds herself in a position of great power and influence. Where she can Yanna will make a decision that she feels is the right one and the best for everyone. Sometimes she's right. And always she feels that the ends will justify her means. But I think that from time to time Yanna questions her orders. Her direction. Her decisions. Perhaps late at night lying awake in her bunk. Her ship flying between the darkness. With nothing to occupy your time. No plots to plan. Nothing to fix. Just time to be alone with your thoughts. I think in those times Yanna begins to wonder if she is doing the right thing. She can't ask her master. He requires unflinching loyalty and obedience. To ask such questions will undermine his faith in her. I suspect that Yanna tried once or twice and the repercussions were… unpleasant. So who can she turn to? Not the military. Military training is designed to make someone who follows orders unquestioningly. Her fellow hands? I believe that would be a fatal choice. Each hand working to be the best. The most favored in the Emperor's eyes. Someone like that would listen and then figure out how to turn what they learned against you. So, with no peers, no comrades, no friends, who does Yanna turn to? It must be terribly lonely.
