Perhaps Kika'lekki will give me a chance to set things right with my clan. It's hard to see, to plan that far into the future.

So I'm focusing on the now. I've started asking myself, “What can I do to improve my chances of survival?”

I'm certainly not defenseless. I've learned already the power of Kuri'au. Even with their distaste for all things non human, I'm sure my skills will be helpful on the Imperial ship. It will only get me so far. I can easily imagine getting quickly over my head, suffocating in a landslide of shifting sand. Already the woman Imperials we met dislike me. I'll need to keep a close eye on their activities, and my back.
