Malik's views on the other team members:
Percy: Ah, Percy. A warrior with no cause left to fight for. How sad. It's obvious she once had some training, but now the driving force in her life seems to be the 'mech she has tucked away in the Overlord Stables. There have been a few situations where Percy has sacrificed honor for survival in Malik's eyes, and for all her criticism of Malik, she has yet to do anything actually tactful herself. But, being the only one to actually speak her mind to Malik, she has earned some respect. What he feels she needs to learn, however, is that the 'mech is a tool, simply that. It is the extension of the warrior's will, not the end of it. Malik wishes to explain his actions to her, but is fairly sure that it would fall upon deaf ears, and get only a responce of "Thug!"
Maria: Poor girl. Doesn't know what she's getting into. But, at least the alcohol helps. By looking at her 'mech, and her condition, it's not hard to tell that she's running from something. She has potential, however untapped. It would be good to keep an eye on her, and watch out for her, in case whatever demons plague her happen to come along.
Jez: A complete idiot. The very fact that "Baronet Heidrun von Winter" ordered her bodyguard to punch Malik at her first encounter with him simply enunciates the decadance of the Lyran Commonwealth. Not even on Strana Mechty are people of a supposed lesser caste treated with such disrespect. She is no better than the gutter filth she expects so much to be above, and thus deserves no better treatment. What's more, is that she is a noble in a successsor state; the depraved deformation of the once unified Star League. To Malik, she is a figurehead of all that The Rememberance speaks of as wrong in the Inner Sphere. As an individual, however, she does show a strong will once set in a direction. Unfortunately, her direction usually entails stepping on those she may one day need to call upon.
Renja: Who? Is that the guy with the mutant 'mech obviously scavenged from some firefight? So that's his name. Renja is of little consequence, and whatever secrets he may be keeping simply don't matter all that much. Just let him try that little scanning trick on Malik. The only thing that may be of any consequence is the fact that he is gomi. An intresting point, but again, does it matter? Aren't most Inner Sphere scumbags honorless anyway?
Jene René: Seems to be a nice enough guy for being from around here. His guard clown leaves something to be desired though. Malik thinks Jean Renč humorous, for all his eccentricity. He doesn't trust him though...not by a longshot.
Jonathan: Collector of old lost tech, and sometimes junk, Jonathan seems to be quite the packrat. But he is a fairly decent person, if one does not cross him. Malik does not want to be on his bad side, for Jonathan seems to be a wealth of information that could prove vital in the future. And, apparently, he can fly a Hammerhead better than Malik can. His only flaw is that he may talk too much.
Irca: Simply put; There may be hope for the Inner Sphere after all. Malik wonders how much she actually knows about Jamie and him. She seems to have a fighting spirit, but tends to defer it to other intrests, as if she were trying to keep her mind off of something. Makes one hell of a shot.
Jamie: Being dezgra as he is, Jamie is more of a brother in arms than any of the others on Solaris. If Malik had come to Solaris a month earlier, he would have been forced to try to kill him, but now, they are in similar situations. Now, if Malik can only break through the pall of futility that hangs over Jamie's head, he may have a strong ally for the coming battles. Still, he sees Jamie as an honorable warrior, one of the very few whom he may trust with his life in the future, for he knows what it is to be a true wolf warrior.
