I’m not surprised that Kir chose to get himself away from us before we got him killed. There is something about this particular collection of beings that just attracts chaos, trouble and mayhem like… well… frankly like metal filings get attracted to a magnetic coupler. I’d like to think of a less cliché example but really, that one works pretty well. So I wasn’t that surprised when Bebo came running in this morning to warn us about Kir. I wasn’t surprised to find that he’d worked franticly to repair the ship enough to escape. I’m actually surprised that he hadn’t tried to get away earlier. I hope that you find what it is you’re looking for and can get a break to fix the Excessive Debt. Perhaps you can pay off the long-standing loan on the ship. May the Force be with you Kir. Still, your timing wasn’t exactly perfect. Perhaps it really was time for us to find another ship.

At the time I felt it was a wise choice to let the Ex commando and the pilot attempt to retrieve the control board from the weapon complex. To hear Zeryn and Sera talk about the mission, I wonder if it would have helped to have brought along more people, perhaps even myself. Still, it’s not possible for me to be everywhere and sooner or later we all are faced with challenges. It’s how we respond to those obstacles that helps to define your mettle. In the end, we had the control board and my friends came back, that counts for a lot.
