Then the data spike failed. This was the last straw for the red haired woman. She then pulled a lightsaber out and ignited the crimson blade. This was the last thing I ever expected to find. A Dark Force user. With a casual flick of the blade she cut the safe open and let the contents fall into my bag. Then she turned to the ten guards who were entering the room and started to get really mad. Zeryn laid down a barrage of blaster fire. It was half way across the room that I realized how fed up I was at being out of range of my opponents. I realized how much I didn’t want them to die needlessly. I realized that the red haired woman would slaughter them all. I realized that I had a chance to save some of them. So I turned into the group of guards.

Earlier I mentioned that I couldn’t draw on the Force or the red haired woman would kill all of us. That wasn’t entirely true. There are some people in the universe that can call on a small amount of the Force from time to time. They can use the power to give themselves an edge when they need it. That kind of use doesn’t draw the attention of people like the red haired woman. I called on that small piece of the Force. I set myself loose amongst the guards. Moving smoothly from form to form and striking out at the guards with my force pike. For each guard I struck down, I could hear the woman attack a guard with her lightsaber. The screams that each one made told me they would not be getting up again when she was done with each guard. I shouted to Zeryn to make for the fireplace and that I would cover her. In moments all of the guards were down. Mine were moaning in pain or unconscious. Her’s were dead and in burned and bloody pieces.
