Lt. Orso was most helpful in hand to hand instruction. A chance to kill some time and boredom. A chance to work with a lithe and toned body. I can't imagine he could have passed up that chance. A focused mind, all business when it comes time to fight. I have the bruises to attest to that. Lucky for me they heal.

Ensign Lior was a different matter. She wasn't interested in teaching me on the first day of travel. Didn't want to have anything to do with the food in the galley. Ensign Lior didn't want to deal with anyone really. She just mindlessly from a wretched food pack she had stashed in her belongings. It wasn't really until late the first night. We were both in the cargo bay. Keeping an eye on the wounded. The only two up. And she started talking. Doesn't really matter about what in all honesty. She just needed someone to listen.
