Found hidden in the treasure trove of a long-lost Sith Temple on the airless world of Shiningmoon Minor, this weapon seems to have somehow avoided the ravages of time. Shining brightly amidst the rusted remains of its fellows, the sword immediately caught the eye of the party exploring the temple. Quick to seize their prize, the group was ambushed by an ancient Krath War Droid laying in wait under a pile of treasure and debris near the sword's wall mount. During the brutal fight, a young warrior claimed the sword from its resting place and slew the droid. Realizing the usefulness of such a weapon, if not its history, the party has kept the sword with them in their travels.

This is an extremely rare and powerful weapon. The blade length is 27 inches long and is made of a high-boron, aligned-crystal dursasteel alloy in the once popular Shinogi Zukuri style. The solid blue crystal handle measures 12 inches long and contains several small gold connection points. Designed to mate to a Mandalorian Combat Glove, the connectors transfer power to a miniature vibro induction unit in the guard. When activated, the induction unit transmits thousands of microscopic vibrations along the blade's edge--allowing the weapon to cut through extremely hard surfaces with only slight pressure.

The infamous Mandalorian Emblem is stamped on the blade, which itself is laced with a barely-visible spider's web of gold filaments. This graceful design is in fact a nearly-perfect cortosis weave running along the length of the blade, thereby allowing the weapon to parry lightsabers without taking any damage itself. The scabbard was once made of metal with a blue lacquer finish, but it has long since corroded away to dust. The entire sword measures a total of 44 inches in length, approximately the same length as a standard Lightsaber.

Quirks Specific to this Mandalorian Katana:

  • The matching decorated scabbard corroded away centuries ago.
  • It is missing the Mandalorian Combat Glove that would power the vibroblade effect.
  • Has a near-perfect cortosis weave along the blade, allowing it to parry lightsabers without taking damage.
  • * Proper training (1 week minimum) will allow a Jedi to use their their Lightsaber Combat skills with this sword. Maximum damage is still 9D.
  • Rumored to have once been owned by Mandalore the Ultimate.
