Protocol Droid CF7
"Bartender"

Protocol Droid CF7

CF7 is a droid with a lot of kilometers on his chassis. First built by Cybot Galactica during The Sith War (3996 BBY), CF7 served faithfully on board the Republic warship Indomitable as a translator and general assistant. It was during this time that he first was introduced to the organic habits of ingesting ethylene toxins for enjoyment during their shore-leaves. Some more enterprising members of the engineering staff helped program CF7 to mix drinks during VIP dinner functions, and eventually the droid was a staple at the Captain’s table.

His tenure on board the Indomitable ended abruptly at the final battle of the Mandalorian Wars (3961 BBY). During the fighting above Malachor V, the ship was severely crippled and was eventually scrapped. Savin Viridian, former Captain of the Indomitable and survivor of the battle, took CF7 back home to Balmorra upon his retirement from the Republic Navy.

CF7 served as family butler and valet to the Viridian family for generations. Inevitably, the old droid was replaced by newer models and placed into storage. Powered down and forgotten about, CF7 spent the passing millennia in the attic of the Viridian Mansion in the hills of Deeside.

The poor droid was rediscovered during Balmorra’s move to join the Confederacy of Independent Systems in 22 BBY. Younger members of the prominently Republic-loyal Viridian family had taken to their attic as refuge from the rallying mob at the gate and one of the younger members accidentally reactivated the relic. CF7’s positronic brain had badly depolarized over the years, but he was still nominally functional. He helped calm the children during the crisis until the mob had been beaten back.

It wasn’t long before CF7’s unique talents came to light. He has an uncanny knack for observing organic’s behavior and bringing them what they needed almost before they knew they wanted it themselves. While worthless compared to modern protocol droids, he was perfect for the up and coming Admiral Corric Viridian’s new personal luxury yacht.

CF7 has been serving as the butler and bartender on the Privilege ever since. He quietly goes about his duties, barely aware of the world around him. He likes making people happy in the limited way that he can, and is secretly happy to be serving the Viridian family on a starship once again. They are, after all, the only family he has ever known.
