DV-7J Dervish

For centuries, the Dervish was a staple of SLDF fast-moving strike teams in need of decent long-range fire support. Designed as the "poor-man's Archer," the 'mech fared well against competing vehicles such as the Trebuchet and the near-forgotten Barbed Arrow--eventually winning a sizeable production contract from the Regular Army. Still produced in large numbers in the Free Worlds League, this 'mech will be still be fulfilling its duty for years to come. This specific vehicle is the property of the ruling family of Winter, a remote regional capitol in the Lyran Commonwealth. According to ComStar records, it has never before been used in actual combat.
