BKS-1P Backstep Tank

Designed in 3026 by a joint effort between the Mercenary unit Decker's Derelicts and the Lyran weapons firm ZorTech Limited, the Backstep medium tank is an experiment in simplicity. Based on the amazingly effective designs from Terra's Second World War, the BKS-1P is thought of as a "Back-step in construction, a giant leap forward in production!" It is simple to build and maintain, requiring only a fraction of the time that even modern tanks require to go from raw materials to operational. The only equipment more advanced than 20th Century technology are the targeting/tracking/com system and the environmental controls, all of which are easily reproducible with 31st century factories. The Backstep is undergoing field testing as of late 3027, and is expected to be up for sale in early 3028 through the New Earth Trading Company.
