Unit History
The stakes were raised when it was reealed that the marik forces may of been trying to secure Duchess von Wyatt's single House Atomic. Hastily forming a plan, the 317th would draw away marik scout forces, allowing the ramaind of the 15th Arcturan Guard to move in from the North while a commando squad secured the bomb. The resulting battle took place on the outskirts of the capitol city of Wyatt, a brutal fight against a full Company of marik light and medium 'mechs. Assisted by hovertanks from Baron von Wyatt's house Guard and a single scout helecopter, the 317th won the day. Cost was heavy though, Baron Raimund Leimart von Alula Australis losing his Battlemech and Settine "Spooky" Lestrade losing both her 'mech as well as her right leg in a botched ejection. Salvage was sufficient to re-arm the unit, but Settine was shipped off-world by her father for treatment--leaving the unit down a capable, if uninspired, pilot.
Two days were spent repairing the damaged 'mechs at Baron von Wyatt's 'mech stable at Ladder starport before heading back North. The Marik main force had been driven off-world, but scattered company-sized units were still conducting guerrilla raids in several areas near the Capitol.
